Welcome to the Community,
to be able to select the physical network you want, open VMware's "Virtual Network Editor" and configure a second Bridged network (e.g. vmnet2). Then select the appropriate physical network adapter from the drop down list for vmnet0 (this is the default "Bridged" network) and the newly created vmnet2 network. Now you will be able to assign either "Bridged" (vmnet0) or "Custom" (vmnet2) to the VMs.
Regarding the network connectivity issue. It looks like you cloned/copied the VM and/or assigned the same static MAC address to it which certainly does not work. Change the MAC address for one of the VMs (VM's settings -> Network Adapter -> Advanced...) to see whether this solves the issue. If this doesn't help, please post (attach) the latest vmware.log files for both of your VMs to a reply post.
