VM using snapshot delta.vmdk which was deleted before 6 months, and now corrupted

Hello guys,

I have a few ESXi 3.5 server with several VM's on it. One particular had disk size of 100 Gb and Win 2008 OS x32 on it, and I made a snapshot of him after few major changes, but some time afterwards server was semi important and not used so much, and to spare some hdd space I delted snapshot because I thought it will commit all changes to flat.vmdk.

Few months after that I had a disk failure, which were in Raid 5, and recovery was not so successful. When I try to start VM, Windows Boot Manager says that Windows failed to start and that recent hardware of software change might be the cause.

When I looked more into VM setting I saw it still uses XXXX-000001.vmdk snapshot disk which I deleted long ago.

First I copied and mounted flat.vmdk, I saw,  I created snapshot in  April 2012,  and flat.vmdk had data on it till June 2012. I recovered data till that period, and tryed to do same with delta.vmdk but it failed.

I tried to recover hdd, but concerning raid 5, it had nothing to recover. I then tryed to mount partitions using linux, I it was successfull for D: partition, but when I try to change, or  mount C: partitions on which there were most of changes VM reports that xxxx-00001.vmdk has been detected to be corrupt.

I can't see snapshot in snapshot manager.

Is there any way to repair/recover snapshot or to commit some data from delta.vmdk(deleted snapshot) to flat.vmdk at this point ?
